Nowadays there are some popular software can be used to download web contents, for songs, there are Apple iTunes, Kuwo, Kugou, and Spotify, where iTunes and Spotify are US-based while the rest are China-based, both provided millions of songs.
“ There is a big difference between this two category, which the consumer have to purchase or subscribe the audios when using iTunes and Spotify”, Hao stated.
However, he said Kuwo and Kugou are free-for-download, the language of both softwares are most of the users are Chinese, so the users also included oversea Chinese in Malaysia and Singapore.
Other Chinese software like Xunlei and Flashget can be used to download any type of files, included the sources from FTP (Far Transfer Protocol).
“These Chinese softwares were approved by the authority of China, but when it comes to Malaysia, doesn’t means it is legal”, said Hao.
On the other hand, to download torrent files, there are two famous professional tools, BitTorrent and Utorrent.
“More peoples download torrent files, the faster the download speed, you actually download the debris of the files, at the same time the debris in your computer will be transfered to others, so the enhancement of speed happens”, he said.
